Waterbased Self-Crosslinking Lacquer

Waterbased Self-Crosslinking Lacquer
A range of single pack self-crosslinking lacquer that may be used as a coat-on-coat system or over a sealer. The lacquer dries to a durable finish with excellent clarity, flow and surface feel, designed to meet FIRA 6250 Heavy/Severe Use Standard. May be used to meet the current environmental legislation solely, or in combination with solvent borne coatings - consult with our technical department.

The above products, used as supplied are suitable for most domestic furniture applications.

Coverage
6 - 8 square meteres per litre.

Application
Standard products are for application by Conventional, HVLP or Air assisted Airless spray methods. Normally, two or more coats of the same material are applied, the exception being the full matt lacquer where we recommend a basecoat of a higher sheen material is used to maintain clarity of finish.

Air pressure: 40 - 50 psi

Fluid Pressure: 8 - 10 psi

A minimum shop temperature of 15°C is required.

Drying
Touch dry: 15-20 mins
Sanding/re-coating: 60-90 mins

These times may be reduced by forced drying. At temperatures below 15°C and high humidity, drying times will be extended and film formation endangered.

Packing: Overnight minimum.

Clarity
Full clarity will be evident after 7 - 14 days drying.

Thinners
Water maximum 5%

Cleaning fluid Water or Water Based Gun Wash

Stains
Non-fade Ground Stain: Suitable
Waterstain: Suitable
Lightfast: Suitable NB. Stains must be dry before continuing with finishing system.

Storage
Protect from frost.
