Trade Use

Sealing is a technical term used by professionals who finish wood on a regular basis. Sealing has two functions:

1. As a quick drying joinery finish to seal wood after staining or maybe before waxing.

2. As a base coat for subsequent coats of Shellac Polishes.

Sanding Sealers are not suitable for surfaces that come into contact with excessive wear, heat or moisture.

A range of high quality Shellac Sanding Sealer Originals formulated by Gedges of London. These products were regarded as the best available by antique restorers and polishers for most of the 20th Century.

As well as application by brush or Zorino mop, they can also be applied by rubber and will produce a reduced gloss patina.
